“I bought these to replace some shiny copper solar lights I picked up locally a few years ago. Those had an attractive finish during the day, and were pretty nice once the sun set. In contrast, these lights just look like your standard black plastic lights. Assembly wasn’t too bad, although the lens were a bit snug and in trying to secure them I thought I would surely break one. However, that didn’t happen. Assembly went quickly, and placing them in the ground was very similar to the copper units they replaced. HOT TIP: if the ground is hard, a little water and a using a large flat head screwdriver to make a hole ensures the lights go in easy and the plastic stake doesn’t break. Once in the ground, they fade in to the background and your plants get noticed more. BUT…when the sun goes down, these lights just dazzle. The pattern on the ground from the lens is just stunning. It looks better on a smooth surface than it does on mulch, but they are gorgeous! For the price I paid they are a steal. I ended up buying two 10 packs, so I would have a few spares on hand. “I love them. There’s 10 in the pack so I was able to space them out and line my walk away the way I wanted with only one pack. They felt a little flimsy when we put together so I was nervous they weren’t going to work well but by the end of the night they were on and working better than expected. I absolutely adore my walk way and can now see where I’m going without having to turn on any outdoor lights. The design is very cute and I am very happy with my purchase.
