“It wasn’t the air fryer’s fault. To my fellow culinary adventurers. This is a 5 star review about the one and only Ninja AF101 Air Fryer.Picture this: a hopeless cook, armed with nothing but a dream and a recipe book thicker than an old fashion phonebook (yes, I belong to that era). That’s me. I’m the kind of cook who burns water and turns toast into charcoal. But fear not, for hope arrived in the form of the Ninja AF101 Air Fryer. With visions of crispy sweet potato fries and golden cauliflower dancing in my head, I eagerly unpacked my new kitchen companion and set to work. The controls are as easy to navigate and I knew I am on my way to culinary greatness. But fate had other plans. Despite the Ninja AF101’s valiant efforts, my cooking skills remained as questionable as ever. I burned the fries, charred the cauliflower , and somehow managed to set off the smoke alarm with nothing but a salad. It wasn’t the air fryer’s fault. Oh no, this mighty machine did everything it promised and more.So while I may still be a terrible cook, I refuse to blame it on the Ninja AF101 Air Fryer. In fact, I’ll sing its praises from the rooftops (once I figure out how to use the ladder without falling). It’s the hero of my kitchen, the savior of my taste buds, and the reason I can still enjoy a decent meal despite my culinary shortcomings. So here’s to you, Ninja AF101 Air Fryer, for trying your best to rescue a terrible cook like me. You may not have succeeded in turning me into a honorary chef, but you’ve certainly made my kitchen adventures a whole lot more entertaining. Five stars for effort and five stars for making me believe that maybe, just maybe, I’ll get the hang of this cooking thing someday.” – Leila (Source: Amazon)

“I LOVE THIS DANG AIR FRYER!!!! Let me get the formalities out of the way. This is a great product and I’m very satisfied with it so far. That being said, this absolutely is a game changing appliance. I would go as far as to say, with some design changes, this could easily replace the microwave. I watched a ton of YouTube videos on air fryers before choosing the Ninja. I already have the Ninja Auto IQ blender and use it almost daily.I’ve never owned an air fryer but in many of the YT videos, when frying chicken or fish all of the youtubers spray oil and flip the meat halfway through the process. This appears to be necessary because the air fryers don’t cook the meat evenly on the bottom and the meat must come into direct contact with the air from the fan located at the top of the appliance and will usually result in chalky spots of batter that remain uncooked. I have found with the Ninja air fryer this is unnecessary. I thought it was the wattage but when I look at other air fryers most have a high wattage than the Ninja which is only 1550 watts., I’ve seen as high as 1800 watts. So it has to be Ninja’s design. Also, I noticed most Youtubers were cooking fried chicken for example for 20 minutes or longer. My first batch, pictured with the Ninja, came out great but had a slightly burnt taste, it was good but could be better but that was because I cooked it for 22 min on 390!!! I also stopped it at 12 minutes and flipped the pieces even though they were golden with no floury spots. For my second batch, I brought it down to about 18 minutes and only paused the air fryer to check them and gave them a shake just in case any were sticking. The end result was much better and close to perfect. Also, I failed to mention that the device doesn’t really generate that much heat and doesn’t stay hot like a deep fryer or cast iron skillet. I live in a small apartment I did have a tiny problem with it setting off the smoke alarm. Not because it puts out tons of smoke but mainly because where I placed this on my counter was near the smoke detector. Moving it to another area solved this issue. Most importantly clean up is a breeze, no scrubbing, no grease to empty or store. After air frying there’s maybe a tablespoon of oil at the bottom and I honestly think it’s the olive oil that I dabbed on…I really don’t think this thing needs any oil. Rinsing it off with warm water is all it really needs, no splatter…nothing. This is what kept me frying things to be honest, I hated the mess and cleanup. Now on to what I think is the most underrated feature on this air fryer REHEAT!!! If you’ve every gone to the fridge and grabbed a piece of leftover pizza, fish or chicken, if you warm it up in the microwave, it’s always soggy, it’s something we’ve learned to live with. I took my chicken wings from the day before put them in the air fryer on reheat for 3 MINUTES…..I SAID 3 MINUTES!!! and like magic the wings were crispy like they were right out of the oil. French fries from the day before…same thing crispy and fresh tasting. Fried catfish perfect. In short, I don’t run out and buy every gizmo I come across like make your own sodas at home or a bread maker. Not that these aren’t great but I have to weigh the versatility of the device, how much soda am I really going to make? Do I really eat that much bread? The Ninja AF-101 was a great choice because it does more than one thing, it’s not just a fryer but a roaster, a dehydrator. My next test will be beef jerky, I’ll update my review then. Until then, it is one of the best purchases I’ve made appliance-wise in a while and I can’t see myself in the future without one. Now if they can only make one large enough to fit a 12 lb turkey in, I can die a happy man.” – Robert E. Daniels Jr. (Source: Amazon)

“Amazing small kitchen appliance & easy to clean. Cooking is so easy and quick with this Ninja air fryer. (steaks, chicken wings, pork chops, salmon, sweet potatoes, fries, asparagus, etc.) This is my new favorite small appliance for a quick meal. Everything I’ve cooked has been delicious. Season your food, place it in the air fryer, set the temp and the timer, touch start and go about doing other things. The alarm will sound and the air fryer will automatically shut off. Some foods (mostly meats) cook better if the air fryer is preheated and some foods need to be turned over during cooking. The nonstick basket and rack make it very easy to clean. This 4 qt air fryer is perfect for one or two people. Otherwise, you will need to cook in batches. I put off buying an air fryer because I thought it would be hard to figure out how to use. Geez, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I researched air fryers and found the Ninja AF 101 is highly rated and reasonably priced. Let this be your next small kitchen appliance. You’ll be glad you did!NOTE: I look for air fryer recipes on YouTube.” – Cindy (Source: Amazon)

“The Best Air Fryer! I had no clue that Ninja had an air fryer. The ones I saw in ShopRite prompted me to search on Amazon which helped me find the “golden goose” of air fryers. I truly love the functionality of this machine. As you see in the pic I’m getting ready to do shrimp with green beans. ShopRite’s Panko shrimp w/ greens beans by PF Chang- temp 350 for 8 mins frozen. The pics are before and after-*Always pause and check to see if the food is to your liking*. We did do chicken wings with my homemade sauce and I wouldn’t suggest the temp and minutes it suggests unless you prefer burnt chicken. It’s one of those situations where you have to try what’s best for you in order for you to have a better outcome. This air fryer is not complicated to use, everything is in 🖤 and 🤍. I’m using the silicone air fryer liners suggested which are a perfect match than the paper liners that were suggested too. Wish you all the best in healthy eating with family and friends.” – Ms B (Source: Amazon)

“Phenomenal product. Great performance! I hesitated to buy an air fryer because the models I saw online were huge and because I don’t have a lot of counter space BUT the size of the Ninja AF 101 is just perfect. I cooked some pork ribs and sweet potatoes and both were fantastic. The meat was tender and juicy and the potatoes were crispy. Another feature I loved is that it turns off by itself, you can adjust the temperature and that It’s so easy to clean up. It’s a great product. I recommended 100%” – Maria (Source: Amazon)

“I really loved it. I did not use any oil on my salmonIt came out very juicy” – diana (Source: Amazon)

“Frying Without The Oil Splatter. And Easy To Clean Super impressed very quiet easy to use, easy to clean, the meat was tender and juicy. Will recommend to anybody how is looking for a good healthy way to fry food with out the oil. Cook four pieces of chicken in 30 minutes, recommend time was 26 minutes but I want it extra crispy, they were nice and crispy in the outside and tender and juicy in the inside. Thank you to my daughter who recommended this Machine.” – Emil Sr (Source: Amazon)

“More useful than expected. When I received the Ninja Air Fryer as a gift I wasn’t sure why I would want or need it. I had purchased a smaller air fryer of another brand for my daughter when she went to college, and she had told me how much she enjoyed food cooked in it, but still, the idea of another appliance to clutter my kitchen didn’t appeal to me. Despite this, I glanced at the reviews on Amazon and thought it might be worth a try. I’m SO happy I decided to make space for this appliance! What I like about the Ninja Air Fryer:1. So easy to use! Pre-heat for 3 minutes, put your food in, push the appropriate setting and go. The Quick Start guide is very helpful and clearly written.2. So easy to clean! The cooking bin and fryer plate are Teflon coated and clean-up is super quick.3. The food produced in the air fryer tastes great! I’ve made tempura shrimp (from frozen) in 10 minutes what was better than in the traditional fryer – tastier and crisper – with no oil added which makes it healthier. I also used the dehydrator setting to make beef jerky that turned out amazing. I had planned on putting it away, but so far it’s being used each day so it stays on the counter.——————————This appliance is perfect for two people. It is kind of big and it makes some noise (blower to vent heat), but it is really useful. The Ninja Air Fryer would be ideal for…1. People who don’t have a lot of cooking experience, but like to eat.2. Dorm or small apartment kitchens where appliances need to do double or triple duty.3. For cooks who like fried food crunch, but hate the mess that oil creates and/or want a healthier alternative.NOTE: Tried cooking frozen mozzarella sticks in the fryer and came out with a mess as cheese escaped, but the outside was crispy! You may have to monitor certain foods more carefully to get the desired results.———————————-I’m truly amazed at how the Ninja Air Fryer can produce crispy, tasty food with little effort. The cleaning of the appliance is super easy and other than its considerable size, I love it. Well worth the money!—————” – Andrea Polk (Source: Amazon)

“Im in LOVE. I have a friend who had one and I tried at her house two weeks before Christmas, she just made chicken nuggets and fries in it, they came out amazing! So I got it for Christmas I have now made homemade french fries ( from potatoes with 2 tbl of oil, instead of cooking them in a fry daddy) breaded chicken and chicken nuggets and regular fries for my kids. Instead of using one and a half sticks of margarine for my breaded chicken I used a quarter tablespoon and it came out better and faster. I also made baby carrots in, it just put some salt on it and roasted them in there they were amazing!!! today I’m gonna try eggplant Parmesan. I got a cheaper one before and I didn’t like it, I returned it the ninja is definitely a way better one. however I spent $69 on it at Walmart so maybe look there first.” – Robin Gonzalez (Source: Amazon)

“Don’t know how I managed without one for so long. Been studying air fryers for about two years. Decision was about counters-pace vs basket size. The ninja takes up slightly less space than the stand mixer. It’s lightweight and easy to pull out from under the cabinet to use (to allow for air flow). I like it so much, I wish for a bigger one just to do my entire meal in it at once. For two people, it does a fair amount of wings or tater tots, or the sweet potato fries pictured here. I used the reheat function and the bang bang shrimp came out quite tasty. Steaks came out moist and medium rare, but not seared even on the crisper plate. It has worked well with salmon and chicken breasts. So much easier to clean than a pan and my stove top. It cooked those breaded chicken rounds, fish, and tater tots and in about 10 minutes. Much less time than a toaster oven. The Ninja does not come with added attachments for the grilling or baking as the Phillips, but it’s $200 less. Nuff said.” – Xena_Mom (Source: Amazon)
