“Recommended. This has been a fun little kit to make. I’m currently about 90% through all the makes in the kit. The kit makes five different cactuses. It comes with a hook, supporting notions, and some yarn. I thought perhaps there were going to significant leftovers , but now that I’m finishing the last project, I can tell that it will be just enough yarn – EXCEPT for the golden brown color. I ran out of that on my fourth cactus and had to substitute with yarn left over from another kit. I don’t remember wasting any yarn, but I did come up short. The patterns are written and not supported with tutorial videos, but they are very well written and illustrated, making them easy to follow. All of the more unusual stitches are explained in the stitch guide at the beginning of the pattern booklet. Everything I’ve made has turned out well, or as well as can be as I’m still learning and I’m sure I’ve made plenty of mistakes along the way. The most fun part of the kit was making the leaves of the actual cactuses – mainly because they weren’t circles.
